It’s not uncommon to be scared to be in the back of a stranger’s van. But that feeling doesn't last long as our coaches help ensure your dog has a safe, productive session. This is why membership is so important. Dogs do not overcome this fear without safe, consistent exposure to something that isn’t worth being scared of in the first place. It isn’t scary because it’s dangerous- it’s scary because it is NEW.
Being nervous in a new environment with a new person on a new piece of equipment can make even the most confident dog a bit nervous. But growth doesn’t come from avoiding everything that makes your dog uncomfortable. If your dog is capable of standing, walking, or running, they are capable of using the slat mill. It may take some dogs weeks or even months to get comfortable in the dog gym, but through that process they will gain confidence that translates outside of the van.
